Winestien analytically presents percent match data collected from user preferences, educating the user on flavor notes and history of the wines they explore, locally or globally. Other features include rewards, journal entry, and social integration allowing users to try suggestions from contacts or other users who have rated bottles at a local winery or store.
Honey Do is a concept application for the virtual honey-to-do list, scheduling regularly updates for home maintenance. This app would house warranties, contractor contacts, paperwork for record keeping, and details on history of home projects, down to the every paint swatch. Built-in features make selecting a service provider for home projects easy by allowing users to contact, schedule quote, book an appointment, or simply set a reminder to do so at a later date.
The Black Book was created with the concept of being an all in one luxury service through invitation only access. Augmented Reality App Concept
Looking forward to the movement of augmented reality in design, this project focus was creating a home service to catalog tasks to be completed in a visual database. This database could directly link users to located local service providers, schedule an appointment, request urgent service, create a list for a future handyman appointment for an afternoon, get an instant estimate for the cost of the service, and bids in from potential service providers.
Ballhaus was a pop-up art show featuring seniors of the Visual Communication department at Ball State University. Hosted at Gordy's Fine Art and Framing downtown Muncie, Indiana, the event was one of the gallery's highest attended art openings held in five years. I coordinated the planning and created design elements for this show for the joy of celebrating with my classmates as we transition chapters of our lives.
The family owned and operated frame shop is an incredible resource for the community and an excellent model for aspiring business folk of the art world. My internship experience at Gordy Fine Art & Framing Co. has taught me the many aspects involved with gallery coordinating. Creative highlights for me are: design of sidewalk sign advertisements for monthly gallery shows and promotional cards with tips to new custom frame owners. I also assisted in social media maintenance.
Typeface Design and Promo
The creation of Foundry began with the inspiration of user interface icons for social media. The lack of available fonts that provided quick letters in a squared form had become frustrating throughout my design practice. This version became rough with hand-drawn characteristics lending the name Foundry.
My design process includes logo, letterhead, envelope, business card, advertisements, and 3D perspectives of the packaging this company would present.
Annual Report Design
The concept of Jetty is to create an relaxing, up-cycled environment with a costal vibe. The imagery used in the annual report design is a progression through the customer's experience at Jetty Cafe.
My personal branding includes a digital portfolio, business cards, and resume. Creating a unified appearance demonstrates consistency and connects the works together as one unit rather than various works.
